Our trip to London Zoo

We are a trio - Rohan, Ishu and Adu
And this is about our trip to London zoo

We saw lions and tigers and other animals.
There were insects and reptiles and many mammals.

There were tall giraffes and their cousin, an okapi.
Who stood there all evening licking a tree.

We saw penguins being fed stinky, little fish
Which they gobbled up without a fork or a dish

The hippos were waddling throughout the day
While the two-horned rhino chomped on his hay

A lady showed us a crocodile’s skin
And a tortoise shell with no tortoise within

There were lemurs and gorillas and an orang-utan
We had our faces painted by the face painting man

It was late in the evening and we bid the zoo goodbye
We had chocolate milk shakes and our parents had chai.

Mosquiwoe

In a moment of laziness or a lapse of concentration,
The Almighty could have erred in one of his creation.
How else would one explain why He decided to bestow,
On this earth, the services of the much avoidable mosquito.

Makes one doubt the existence of the karmic consequences
When the gore sucker's been enjoying life ere mankind's existences
I mean what is Karma? Being held accountable for what you did in a previous life,
Mr. A Quadrimaculatus has been a pain for Mr Diplodocus and his wife.

Then I gave this question a philosophical shake
And realized that my thinking was a mistake
While happily in this plenitude of warm-bloodeds, does the haemovore dwell,
What have WE done in the past to deserve this mosquito infested karmic hell?
